HyunSung was established in 1995 and has gained a good reputation as a reliable importer of many kinds of lumber, cedar, plywood, OSB, stairs, interior wall paneling, exterior materials, windows, door, jarrah furniture, garden furniture, garden products, etc., They import from Europe, Asia, North America, and Australia.
Hyunsung Timber’s CEO Mr. Sung stated that “I believe that BC Wood’s many market promotional activities have greatly influenced the development of Korea’s sustainable wood industry. In particular, BC Wood’s Global Buyers Mission has provided many Korean wood users with an opportunity to learn more about timber and wood products. The Extended Mission, which allows them to tour sawmills and wood products, was an invaluable experience, and GBM in Whistler was a great opportunity to meet and deepen our relationships with our Canadian suppliers, learn about new products, and also to meet wood people from over 25 countries around the world.
I was also able to build deeper relationships with the wood buyers from Korea who participated in the GBM through the post-event programs prepared by BC Wood Korea. It was the best event I’ve ever experienced in the wood industry. So far, not only me but also my employees have participated in BC Wood’s Global Buyers Mission about 10 times so that we don’t miss the opportunity to learn more about the timber industry. We also plan to participate in the upcoming 21st anniversary GBM in 2024 with our employees.
