About BC Wood

Founded in 1989 as a partnership between industry and government, BC Wood is the voice of BC’s value-added wood products sector. In 2021 (the most recent data available), BC’s value-added wood product sector supported 14,100 full-time jobs with estimated sales of $4.63 billion. As a non-profit association incorporated under the Societies Act, BC Wood represents a diverse range of companies and products, from;
  • remanufactured lumber and engineered wood product companies, to
  • pre-fab housing and log home and timber frame producers, to more refined
  • millwork, furniture and cabinet companies.
BC Wood promotes, advocates and champions the interests of BC’s value-added wood products sector via: business development activities and services; market intelligence and in-market assistance; connecting sellers with buyers & specifiers of wood products; and via outreach to communities of interest.
