BC Wood will be organizing industry participation at the UBCM Showcase, from Wednesday to Thursday, September 20th-21st, 2023.
After a three-year hiatus, the UBCM Showcase returns to Vancouver to be co-located with the 2023 Union of BC Municipalities Convention. The showcase provides a unique opportunity for Wood products manufacturers to promote to and connect with a myriad of municipal and local governments, as well as regional district representatives – all in one locale! The UBCM presents the best single opportunity to meet, exchange ideas with and forge new relationships with those tasked with planning community wood-based construction projects, as well as communicating the singular importance that the forest products sector has for rural BC communities. Of particular importance to this audience is the opportunities to learn more about the use of mass timber building systems including cross, dowel and glue laminated timber.
The UBCM Exhibitor Showcase’s primary attendees are elected local government officials, including Mayors, Councillors, and Regional District Directors. Many non-elected decision makers such as Corporate Administrative Officers, City Managers, Finance, Purchasing and Community Services Managers, in addition many Provincial Ministers and MLA’s also attend.
