This is my first Wood Connections after taking on the WoodTALKS program (formerly known as the Specifiers Program). Roy Manion has now retired, but is working with me during this transition period.
The first term looks to be very active with lunch and learn seminars, group seminars, and tours – all in the process of being booked. We are also in the preliminary planning stages for WoodTALKS at the GBM this coming September.
As it is the beginning of our fiscal year, we are taking the time to meet with companies that have participated in the program last year, as well as those who wish to join this year. The WoodTALKS programming provides BC value-added wood manufacturers the opportunity of meeting with the very influential specifier community (architects, designers, engineers, developers, builders, and contractors) to educate them on the value-added wood products and services available from our industry here in BC. Participants in the program receive the added benefit of establishing themselves as trusted industry leaders and building their client bases. For more information on how your company can become involved in WoodTALKS, contact: Ken Hori at BC Wood at [email protected] or 604.882-7100.
