Since 1985, Judson Beaumont
has been creating one of a kind

furniture pieces and commissions.
At Straight Line Designs Inc.,
Beaumont and his team strive to
make furniture and environments
interesting, whimsical and fun.
Kids and their liberal acceptance of
the bizarre lend inspiration to some
of Straight Line's original designs.
But the childlike, cartoon imagery
not only appeals to kids, it's a big
hit with adults as well.

Beaumont and eight full-time
craftspeople work out of a studio in
East Vancouver.

"Whenever possible, Straight Line
involves their clients from the initial
sketching stage and colour
selection to the installation," says
Beaumont. "Both verbal and visual
communication is very important.
