Trump's New 50% Tariffs on Canada: See Exactly Which Wood Products Are Affected

On July 20, 2026, President Trump signed proclamations imposing a new 50% tariff on a range of Canadian goods – including a significant list of value-added wood products – under Section 338 of the Tariff Act of 1930. The tariffs take effect August 19, 2026, and apply regardless of USMCA origin.
